What plays would you plan, first possession?

All seriousness I’d be fine with the same two calls we always start the game with if they’d just fake a jet sweep to JT before the dive.

bubble screen.
quick slant.
reverse.

what we will see:
half back dive
half back dive
rosier up the middle
shanked punt.

Bomb to Thomas.

Attack, attack, attack.

Only the defense attacks with this HC.

We know what to expect, as expressed in other threads, how would you call it differently, that would be more successful?

I would not mind, in no particular order, a bubble screen to DJD, a crossing rout to JT4, a reverse or double reverse and a QB draw. But I’m sure you’ll have more creative plays. Let your creative minds fly.

I can't possibly tell you what play I'd call without knowing what defense the opponent is in.

Victory formation and kneel...put it on the D to score...seriously, I’d run a lot of wildcat w DJ
I was going to say victory formation . My son asked me what play they are running several games ago . I told him it’s the victory formation , we’re winning. He asked me why they don’t just start with that play

First I would call a 75 yard TD run on a Homer outside read.
Second I would call a 75 yard TD run by Dallas on a toss sweep.
Third I would call a 75 yard TD reception by Thomas on a quick slant.

Do you have anyother questions?

Play 1. 5 yard slant to Cager (thrown 3 yards into the dirt)

Play 2. Inside zone for no gain (Homer runs into Mahoney who is 2 yards in the backfield)

Play 3. 4 verts. Rosier throws it out of bounds.

Play 4. Shanked punt.

We need to do more outside runs with our WRs blocking. They run block better than our OL. I would run screens, crossers, and slants. Get the TEs heavily involved with seam routes and quick outs. Back in our glory years we utilized the **** out of our TEs. We ran so many 5 and outs and seam routes as our TEs always have an advantage against any LBs. You start utilizing the TEs and that keeps the LBs and Ss honest and makes them less willing to run blitz which makes it easier to run block for the OL. It's simple stuff man that is so obvious. All we run these days are RB dive out of the gun or play action of the same formation and run all 9 routes. Would love to see what our actual playbook looks like and what route trees we incorporate. I would bet we run less than 15 plays.
Love your thoughts! I have a feeling the booth’s observations are not getting translated well at field level. More reasons to have a true, dedicated OC.

Would like some crossing and drag routes. When they respect the middle, our normal outside stuff and bubbles should be open. And split DJ out...mismatch on LB or safety. He’s an elite mismatch guy. Use him

1st down...fake jet sweep to Thomas and hit Brevin out in the flats.
next play bubble screen to Thomas
next play pop pass to Thomas
next play XP try

Again, what plays other than what we have seen and expect, do you think should be called, that would give the team chances of success?

Direct snap to Gerald Willis into your car windshield
