What offense and defense would you run at Miami?

Give me the spread, I like Ou's version, Sterling Gilbert, Kendal Briles because they still run the ball.

Defense I like the 4-3, we are just so **** predictable in our blitz designs it makes it easy on offenses diagnose pre-snap.

Multiple offense

Hybrid/multiple front defense

I would give teams multiple looks on offense to utilize our speed while keeping people off balance with formations. I’ll get rid of the vertical offense concepts though and focus more on the middle of the field.

Hybrid/multiple front to utilize all the undersized tweeners Miami/broward football always seems to produce every year and change concepts just like Alabama and New England does based on their opponent.

Spread with wide splits

Tempo

Emphasize recruiting TE that can make plays in the passing game via mismatch

Emphasize recruiting QB with mobility

RPO and Zone read concepts

Vertical option routes

Small playbook that can be taught quickly, basketball on grass style, use player reads to create dynamic complexity on the fly based on what the defense shows

It's not what you run, but who's running it. Players win games, and coaches lose them.

All the talent in the world won't help if you're running garbage schemes. How many times did an Al Golden Miami team lose to an inferior opponent? At least three times a year.

Offense: minimum protection, low-percentage deep ball offense with the halfback pass as its bread and butter
Defense: read-and-react two-gap 3-4 with safeties who are elite at playing safety
