What off season change do you want?

So many different opinions, looking for a consensus.

  • Clean house. Richt and staff all need to be let go.

  • Fire Richt and the Offensive coaches. Promote Manny to Head Coach

  • Keep Richt. Force him to hire an Offensive Coordinator and Special Teams coordinator.

  • No Changes at all. Richt and staff deserve another year.

  • Keep Richt. Fire Searels and hire a new O-Line coach

They should fire Richt or force him to retire, but since we all know that ain't happening...

1) Hire an actual offensive coordinator who knows what the f*ck he's doing and give him complete control over the offense.
2) Demote or fire Hartley and hire an actual good special teams coach.
3) Tell Mahoney and Knowles to pack their sh*t and GTFO. Especially Mahoney. Can't stomach another year of him seeing significant playing time.

The only way for the real change that will make a difference to happen...is if Richt is gone.

Why? Cause even if he does give up playcalling duties he'll either promote his son or Thomas Brown......or if really wants to put on a show for the public to get them off his back temporarily and buy a little more time....he'll bring in someone from his coaching tree who he will micro manage to **** and keep elements of his God forsaken offense.

If it's an elite OC from outside Richt's coaching tree who he will leave alone and stay the **** out of his way....fine. The problem is there is a negative percent chance that comes to pass.

The AD needs to go and the head coach needs to go. That's the only real way to start to fix our problems. Richt bringing in a "yes" man is just lipstick on the pig.
 
Promote Manny and he is smart and would get a bad *** oline coach and offensive coordinator in no time.
 
No faith in Richt hiring rhe right OC or OL coach so I say clean house even though I wouldn't mind keeping the defensive staff minus Patke and then Dugans on offense.

I have no problem with Patke since he just got here...but I really wish they would fire him to bring in Hurlie Brown to coach LB/ST
 
We need to blow this crap show up, starting at the top with James. Then Richt, and his band of Merry men. Hire an OC/QB guru, OL Coach, ST Coach, and retain Diaz, if that’s an option. If not, then he’ll have to go also because the new HC May have designs on his own DC which I’m fine with as long as they play a 4-3 aggressive style of defense. Don’t get my wrong, my druthers is to keep Manny but I’ll leave that decision up to the new head man. Go after an innovative HC and OC/QC coordinator. Someone like Leach, Babers, Campbell, etc. if that absolutely means Butch then so be it, but be **** sure he doesn’t get an extension until he’s put together consistent 10+ win seasons. Then get them out on the recruiting trail because we’ve got to do something about this dismal Surge ‘19 class ASAP. Then keep out inroads with the 2020 and 2021 classes which fortunately we’re still in good graces with right now. After that, get ready for Spring camp and make sure the S&C is going to par, particularly at the OL and DL positions.
 
That "everyone" gif we used to use in recruiting threads would work nicely here...
 
If Richt isn't canned, I'll take it a step further:

Offensive Changes that must occur: Fire Brown, Lil' Richt, and Searles. Demote Hartley from Special Teams and hire a ST coach. Hire a god**** offensive coordinator that's not a Richt-Yes man.

Defensive Changes: Rumph, maybe Patke (waste of a 10th coaching hire in the first place but has done a good job with Finley).

Honestly Richt could get away with demoting his son to some sort of analyst because no one in their right mind would hire the kid. He can lead prayer services for all I care. Anything but coaching QB's and occupying one of the critical 10 coaching positions on this team.

This is not a situation where you can change a couple of pieces. The problem starts at the top. Need to fire Richt.
 
Anything other then cleaning house is unacceptable and just keeps us down longer.

He has never won **** and he cant win here. #stayhomeflythebanner
 
Minor tweaks only. Fire Blake James. Fire Richt and every coach on staff. Then fire DiMare and the entire baseball coaching staff. The entire athletic dept. (Excl. basketball) needs a complete reboot.
 
Clean house. Richt would only hire an OC with the same archaic, outdated offensive mindset/philosophy.

We have over 10 years of evidence of what Richt produces when forced to have an OC from his tenure at UGA. It's stunning to see how many people actually believe forcing an OC on Richt is a viable solution for the raging dumpster fire we've become under his watch.
 
Would honestly love to clean house. Feel like the coaches that are coming available this cycle have potential to bring us to that next level.

Realistically though, I'd prefer the offensive side of the ball be cleaned up.
 
Ideally, I'd love to keep Manny, Simpson, Dugans, and Hartley. I also like Rumph and Banda, but we don't need two DB's coaches. Hartley would only be TE's coach and recruiting coordinator. Manny as DC and associate head coach.

  11. DB Coach - Rumph or Banda
Realizing there are only ten coaching positions, your ST coach needs to handle a position group, or you need to bundle WR/TE.

All of that being said, any new HC coming in is going to have their own guys and if Richt moves on, we're likely starting from scratch.

I'm not quite ready to put Manny in charge yet, but I like him a lot and don't want to lose him either. If they do put him in charge, I will support him as long as the school ponies up big for legit OC, DC, and STC.

I want the head coach of this team to take a hard look in the mirror and make the changes necessary to succeed.

2. Manny to Interim HC
3. Let Manny decide fate of present staff (Manny may stay on as DC or be permanently promoted)
4. Fire Flake
5. BOT hire a COMPETENT (non boot licker) AD (Butch would be acceptable)
6. AD hires COMPETENT HC
7. New HC hires staff
