What non-superstar player were you a huge fan of?

My earliest football memories were in my back yard pretending to be Mark Rypien.

Elementary school was Stephen Davis. Dude was a freight train.

Canes: Smoky Roan, Larry Brodsky, Jimmie Jones, Derwin Jones, Stanley Shakespeare
Fins: Tony Nathan, Jon Giesler, Nat Moore, Benny Malone
One of the plays etched permanently in my brain. 74 “Sea of Hands” playoff game.
Benny runs 23 yards for a TD with 2 minutes left. I remember the announcer saying “Miami might have scored too quickly there”.
I was thinking the same thing, if only he had gone down at the 1yard line. The Fins could have run out the clock with zero chance of Oakland stopping Zonk 4 times on the goal line.

Benny ran like a bow legged cowboy with his *** on fire. More of a Gallup than a running style.

James Lewis (says the president of the James Lewis Fan Club on Grassy)

Just a steady, solid and reliable player who was the perfect complement to Ed Reed in 2001

Non- Cane : Michael Cooper (Lakers)
