It's not complicated to wait and let the draft fall to you. The truth is, the Dolfinas had the draft capital and more if they had practiced patience instead of jumping back from 12 to 6. So your framing of the choice as paying a ransom to jump back into the 1st round from the 2nd is a stretch.
If we are looking at this as RB vs. WR, the question is would you rather have Waddle + 5th round pick or Harris + 3rd round pick + 4th round pick + 1st round pick in 2022. That's what it would look like if Miami stays at 12 then hops back a few spots again in the 1st (and the Fins might have actually gotten more to move back a few spots from 12, with Parsons still on the board).

Love this player. In his after draft party, he threw a party at the homeless shelter where he spent plenty of time growing up in a very tough part of the SF Bay Area. Classy move.

I personally don’t believe in taking a RB in the first round. Good player but Steelers had way bigger needs and think it was a reach for a team with no offensive line. I wanted Sewell with that 6th pick but I see going with the best playmaker available. See how it all plays out soon. I didn’t really love the Philly trade either but from what was said they weren’t going to do the San Fran trade without the Philly trade.

You are so fūcking full of shlt that it must really take a concerted effort to be this wrong and be this much of a contrarian asshøle.
To begin with, what Bama pays is nowhere near what other boosters can even think about paying. Not even close. This is like saying McDonald’s pays, why can’t they out-recruit the better paying jobs.
I’m not excusing the last 15 years of us shooting ourselves in the foot, but if you think we’d be anywhere close to them as far as recruiting, even if we had been hitting on all cylinders as far as coaches, you’re even more stupidly argumentative and blind than you’ve already shown.
As far as FIU, what does that have to do with anything? Our ineptness doesn’t change what they do re: recruiting/paying.
These types of porsts just expose you as a mindless drone looking to snipe with little logic or reasoning.
