Surprised Kyle is still here; honestly haven’t been very impressed w/ his work.

Also, I hope when the new facilities are built, the nutritional dept takes a huge step fwd. We’re grossly behind in this dept compared to the big boys.

One of the commonalities I saw, whether it was UTenn, UGA, Bama, OSU was not only were the players provided w/ plenty of options, but they had several nutritionist designated for particular sports that was hands on to give education as to diet habits, & ensuring regimens are followed for gains or cuts.

Hard to believe that none of this existed ten years ago at Miami.

Yeah, but if u remember my brother, Golden was shocked we didn’t have something as simple as training tables. This is y I used to give a pass due to the notion that Miami didn’t have the finances to keep up w/ other programs, but now that apparently we’ve had the $$ this entire time…head scratching to say the least.

Our commitment to the nutrition program has taken on a whole other level BUT the timing of it relates more to when construction starts getting done. Well have 14 private chefs in the new facilities. We didn't have nothing but some **** catering when I was here. Kyle is a joke though. Fine we get what we NEED however look at what powerhouse programs get years ago compared to where we are even now. Look at bamas nutrition program if you really wanna feel like Fred Flintstone.

Pimp, was literally waiting for u to chime in. I KNOW how u feel about Kyle & I 100% agree w/ u. Man, when my lil cousin played for Auburn in the mid 2000’s this was their nutrition. It’s like our program is from the late 2000’s -early 2010’s. I’ve seen Bama’s nutritional program, just saw Deestroy’s tour of UGA’s facility & saw their nutritional program & it’s like holllllllllly chit.

But glad we’re investing in this dept, HOWEVER, w/ the 9 yrs worth of intel under Kyle, just really surprised he’s still the lead man.

I think it just comes down to the timing of the expansion for him. Pretty sure he's a dead man walking. But with so many issues taking precedence and being addressed immediately I think he's just picking and choosing his battles. Because we still aren't equipped properly or even close for that. We have changed up catering and the quality is tons better. What I've seen out of Kyle is really just him having snacks set up during practice. Cause for him a couple go gurts and fruits is a winning combination. I wouldn't employ that dude at a day care facility let alone this level.

When I was wandering the Hecht last summer (before the big luncheon with Dan and Alonzo and Jenn), I wandered back to the first floor "Schwartz" area (forgive me if I'm naming the wrong building, they built **** at different times, and it all runs together for me), they had a whole area set up outside of the locker room area on the first floor.

I was happy for the football-specific setup...but I was unimpressed by the food that was coming out. Very...basic...

I've long said that while Miami isn't Texas or Bama rich, they're not some dirt poor school either. I think the problems in the past and falling behind in facilities was mainly due to the school/administration being cheap.

The collapsible picnic table you mean? Yeah. Unimpressive is a nice way to put that.

It's easy to be that way when you have the ole boy network behind you and you pile together money from TV rights and ur conference share. We've always had the money. What we've never had is an administration willing to make sports a priority.
