Mine is a play during a not so good team and a play that Daniel Stubb made. The opposing QB faked a handoff to their right side and rolled out to the left. Our defense went with the fake, that is except Daniel Stubbs. When the opposing QB saw Stubbs flying through the air like Superman, he rolled into a ball and took the hit. Can still close my eyes and see it rerun.

Michael Barrow flying through the Air out of Nowhere to Destroy Penn Sts RB on a 4th and 2 in 1991 for a 2yd loss....Keith Jackson always maintained it was the Best Def play he ever saw....
He made lots of great hits, his FSU the most famous but many others we personally observed.

Richie Anderson was the RB. They were gashing us with the same trap play over and over and then BOOM! Game Over.

Go Canes!

1973 in the OB. Texas came in as the second half of a home and home. Their running back, Roosevelt Leaks, was a Heisman trophy candidate that year. Texas came in ranked #6 . Canes shut down Leaks and won the game 20-15.

DJ Williams absolutely destroying a pulling guard from BC down near the goal line. OLineman had never been hit like that in his life, it was obvious. Just a thing of LBing beauty.

Go Canes!

The Flea making the kick at FSU late in the 4th quater to put us in the NC game against Nebraska
Many don't realise how this play got us the chance to change the fate of our program.
I remember it well.. I remember the clock running down just before the kick and i was freaking out at schnelly.. i was only 8, but i remember being so nervous that he wouldn't call it in time. ha.

Pittsburgh at Miami, 1996
Miami won 45-0

The play that I will never forget was a 15 yard catch by Tony Gaiter.

Wasn't a kick off. It was a crossing route. And Michael Barrow separated him from his senses.

During practice, we were doing a competitive tackling drill the end of practice. These things got intense. So Blades and Warren Williams were going against each other. And Blades absolutely popped Warren. One of the biggest hits I have ever seen.

Not so much a single play....but if we're talking about a Single Underrated "Performance"....Then Tony Fitzpatrick's performance at Nosetackle in the 83/84 NC against arguably the Greatest CFB OL (certainly the most Decorated) in NCAA History...sits at the Top....

Then you should have seen Nate Webster Absolutely DEMOLISHING James Jackson and Edge at GreenTree in 99.....You simply had to be there....

Tony was a great guy. He was one of the guys that showed me around on my recruiting trip. And then I played with him in 83.
