What is Your Best Memory As A CANES Fan ?

Way too many to count starting from our 1st NC vs. Nebraska.

BUT the one that was the most fun as a fan was 1991 Cotton Bowl vs. Texas. I caught that one on TV at a restaurant/bar with my friends in Beaumont full of Texas fans.

I was asked to leave and escorted out after Randall Hill scored his legendary TD.....never felt better being a Cane

Beating Neb for the first title, we had no business even being able to stay on the field with them. I was sitting in sec. CC row 117 for the game and remember when they cam out for warm-ups and FFS they were monsters, Dean Steinkuhler looked like a house and then you have "little" Tony Fitzpatrick all of 5'10", 250 going up against him.

****, I just realized that all of my favorite memories have something to do with f'ucking over FSU.

Could not narrow my list down to one so here are my top 3....

1. Halftime of the 2001 National Championship Game. I didn't even see any of the second half, because I was too busy driving around Tallahassee looking for arguments with FSU fans.

2. Jeremy Shockey touchdown in 2000. I was sitting in the heart of FSU student section when he stretch his arm out after scoring the TD. To this day, I greet all of my die hard FSU family members with what they have labeled "The Shockey"

3. 2018 Miami vs. FSU watch party- ...... in my hometown with a room full of FSU fans who gave me s'hit all night. I had to sit there at take that s'hit, until......
*I literally started a thread about that night* https://www.canesinsight.com/threads/took-fsu-soul.138015/

Best memory wouldn’t be a game or a play, but that feeling of ultimate confidence we had before every single game played.

We just knew the canes would win, and it wouldn’t be close.... and we were right.

Mine has to be sitting in the Orange Bowl in 1984 and going crazy when the ****huskers fail on the 2-pt attempt as Miami won our 1st National Championship. The rest of the night after that was a blur after much celebrating and too many adult beverages.
I agree 100%. Total elation.

weve had these threads a lot this year, I am sure of it.

1. Devin Hesters TD on kickoff vs UF,
2. Bandy's Pick 6 last year vs ND

1986....Jimmy pulling down notre lames pants and spanking them on national tv, all the while Musberger crying like a baby in press box cuz Jimmy had no mercy, priceless, then Jimmy's interview afterwards when he refused to apologize and broke out a list of games where they had done the same, then pretty much saying what a bunch of puzzy crybabies they were when what they had been doing for years happened to them. You could hold up a kitchen match 1/4 mile from the OB and it would ignite from the electricity in the air. God bless that TEXAN Jimmy Johnson with the Texas attitude.

Yea and cotton bowl is up there as well, shock the nation tour was shocked alright, we came, we raped we pillaged, we humiliated that team, racked up a record unsportsmanlikes, and talked **** all the way home. It was so bad the SWC commissioner, Fred Jacoby, came out in a presser later and said The U would NEVER be invited back as long as he was in charge. This game also brought about that rule we all love, the MIAMI RULE !!! Also loved Dennis getting in a ref's face going in at half and telling him we were gonna kick the **** outta Texas and there was nothing he could do about it, go Dennis !! we could not run a foking play without a flag lol 15 flags---202 yards i think, still a record

Been a fan since i chose UM for college in 2007. Not a lot of great memories unfortunately...

Prob 8 lateral return versus Duke. Honestly watching that **** live was ******* unreal, especially after the refs were ******** us and we gave up the lead. Screamed at the top of my lungs and spilled beer all over my apartment. GF was not happy and had to pay the maid the clean the house the next day, lolz

I have many, of course, on tv and the Orange bowl but I’ll pick 2 from the Orange bowl:

1. McGahee’s screen against fswho, when he almost scored but he electrified the crowd with that run. We ended up scoring on the next play and winning... Man, those days were ******* GREAT!!!!

2. Shockey’s TD to go ahead, just that drive alone was great with Santana Moss catching everything in his sight.

On tv, yeah that Carlos Jones pick 6 against fswho, I remember jumping up and by mistake punching 2 holes in the ceiling in the day room... ahhh the good ole days!! Thanks @mdpcane.

It wasn’t a national title or anything...but watching Edge and the Canes take out UCLA was my favorite win of all time. That day was special
