What is Your 3 Year Goal for Mark Richt?

I think a big reason that Richt took the job is he knows he can win right away. There's some deficiencies he'll have to clean up, but it's not a major rebuilding project and he's inheriting the most talented team in the division. This is a team that went 8-4 with arguably the worst coaching in the FBS. Richt is in a position to do something really special here, and he has the opportunity to turn the program around from day one.

Same goal I would have for any coach/athletic director combo: Get out of this stadium. Make it a priority and make it happen.

Coaches are short term trivia. This stadium regulates the program. We can't allow it to suffocate decade after decade.
 
Playoffs by year three should be the goal.

Not sure if it will happen but we should be in the mix.

transfers & juco would help as well

expectations... acc championship within 2 seasons, major bowl/playoffs within 4

Make a great DC hire and we'll have a shot at the playoff next year, because this recruiting class combined with what we have on the defensive side coming back, will have us absolutely loaded.
 
Offensive side of the ball needs a lot of work especially on the line. RBs and receivers also need to be upgraded.

With UNC and Fuente at Tech, the coastal is more difficult than it has been in 5+ years. It's no gimme. We will eventually get where we want to be within four or so years but there will be some early growing pains.

With the right DC hire, we can win slugfests next year and make no mistake, this offense will be better.

There are weapons on the roster as we speak and there are more coming in the crootin class. Bruce and Cager and Coley and Mullins and hopefully Richards should bolster the receiving core. That's in addition to the best TE in the conference. Don't let the poor coaching fool you. We got stuff on deck here and that's probably part of the reason that Richt is coming.

This is a talented team, but no way. Not enough line talent, not enough depth all around.

Plenty of Line Talent. Highly recruited guys. They just need a Qaulity System and Coaching.

I shouldn't have said "no way", but I stand by the rest of my statement. You're right that there's talent, but not nearly enough. Our DTs are improved, but c'mon they aren't all that good. Without a beast or two in the middle, how are Chad and AQM going to get off the ends? Not a terrible talent situation, but I don't think there's enough there to make the top 10 let alone top 4. Mark this down, I'd be more than happy to publicly eat my words.

Yup. While I also think our team is talented, depth is an issue. Chad, AQM, Norton, and and Willis are the most talented 4 but what about the 4 behind them and so on? LBs are going to take a hit with Kirby leaving this year and Grace next year. Young could leave early for the NFL if he breaks out next year. CBs are also going to be an issue with Tracy gone and Artie most likely gone although I feel like we have some good young talent there.
 
ACC championship next year. Losing to Clemson is acceptable, FSU is not acceptable. I want Richt to improve on his 2-9 record (UF minus muschump yrs) against his archrival. Year 2 playoffs/just miss playoffs. Year 3 Championship game.

Part of why we've lost to fsu late the last 2 years has been depth. They've got a ton of it with little drop-off, we don't. ****, we've put up a fight the first half of the latst 4 games. al's problem in recruiting wasn't that he couldn't recruit talent, just that he couldn't recruit enough of it. Also, DTs hate him.

1. hire an absolute savage for D coordinator right this instant. Because god knows you are gonna drop the ***ing ball whenever sh*t hits the fan and I wanna at least know our D will be able to handle the heat

2. should win the ACC within 2 seasons including a 10 win season next year
