He said himself he wanted it done before the end of the dead period. Dead period is over tonight and we need to hit the recruiting trail. If we dont hear something by close of business today something is wrong.

We have 2 top 5-10 QBs on the roster, and enough skill position talent to get to the acc cg. All these names we hearing have only been able to dream of the talent that is and can be here.

Read somewhere that Manny evaluated OCs not only by track record and interview but also the potential staffs they could put together. So maybe there are locking up the other assistants under the OC.

Does anyone know how long it takes to hire an OC? Diaz hired Baker within a week as DC. It seems like this OC hiring is dragging out longer than expected. Diaz keeps making excuses about the OC hire. He said he had 3 finalist, so why is it taking so long to choose between 3 guys?

Any team with a new HC will also have the same question marks to deal with.... the other regime having been fired and all. The other option is something like USCe where a coach on the verge of being fired can hire you, likely for just one year.

There’s not many job openings w top 10 programs, especially for coach coming from a G5 school.

On balance, i think this job has real upside. I’m not one of these sunshine pumpers either.

Most coaches beleive in themselves to get the job done. Most people believe in themselves to get the job done matter of fact. O- line is the only group on offense you can question the talent. The talent is young and need some good coaching and scheme but an OC wouldn't be scared to take this job.
