What is Richt's worst loss?

Mark Richt will help Miami beat teams they are SUPPOSED to beat. That's what he's good at. His problem is winning big games against teams on his level or better.

easily the 2008 or 2007 game I forget now where they played bama in a "blackout" game

bama had them down 30-0 at halftime or something absurd

This.

2008 - #8 Alabama at #3 Georgia. Night game, Georgia broke out their black jerseys, Gameday was in Athens for the first time under Richt.

31-0 Alabama was the halftime score.

People look at the 41-30 final score now and assume it was a close game, but in reality, it was a massacre. This was the most talented GA team with Stafford-Moreno-Green, and they just got their asses handed to them.

The 49-10 loss to Florida in 2008 is also up there.

Nah worst loss was that last second b.s. vs bama in the seccg.

I will say this....appy state 2016 won't be because we ain't losing

I remember screaming at the qb to clock the ball, he didn't and they lost. One of ugas more popular qbs, 5th year senior just can't remember his name.

If he does that, they probably score and win. Go to the NC game and roll ND.

A statue of Richt would have been placed on campus and he woulda coached at uga until he retired being known as ugas best coach in history.

I'm glad now that the uga qb made a bonehead play and threw away a national championship.

I was at the game in the corner of the endzone...UGA had momentum but just made the worst decision at the worst time possible.

In hindsight, I do think that was the best. Like you said, had he won, we would have AG part deux

Richt was 108-10 against teams that finished unranked and only had two losses total to teams that finished below .500 while at UGA. So one of those 10 games.

Did a little research. Richt lost 51 times at Georgia, 14 of those were to opponents that were not ranked at the time. Obviously some ended the season ranked. IMO that's pretty **** impressive.
Yep and most of those unranked teams he lost to were in conference play. Not that it justifies it but in fifteen years losing to a Vanderbilt once is not acceptable but not the end of the world in all reality

Not that it matters, I think this thread is dumb, but Vandy was 9-4 that year.
