What is going on?

This is understandable. But why aren't we willing to pay the tax is the question? Are we broke ? Or are we simply preferring to allocate funds to the new mega facility or something else we may not even be aware of ?
Exactly what I'm saying need to pay extra since we're essentially a start up company trying to build up and need to entice people to choose this start up company than the established companies

The team was historically terrible on both sides of the ball.

There’s slim confidence in the head coach, with an unproven staff of recruiters or developers.

The school hasn’t won in over 20 years.

In one of the worst conferences in the country.

It doesn’t have the money of elite schools and hasn’t done anything with the lead it had on NIL.

It has less clout than ever with local prospects.

It doesn’t produce NFL players above the 3rd round with regularity.

What happened?

My theory is that it’s overall roster payment.

Let’s say you give Jackson $2M to sign. Then Leonard Taylor - who let’s say in this scenario is earning $750K - wants to be brought to that level. And so does every other existing D lineman whose a starter. And without it, they’re transferring at the first opportunity.

We might also be shifting to more of an FSU model where we will overspend in the future to get proven commodities on the portal versus unproven high school players.
That sounds good solid theory but I've seen us in action with the portal already. Top player enters CIS says throw all the bags at him random tweets about said player then which leads to that player either not getting an offer because we have a better HS recruit to get or that player doesn't even visit. I will say atleast with the HS players they come visit and the karaoke seems like a hit.

And more than 50% of this site posters wanted Wario…welp, now you see the challenges..

Win 9 regular season games or this derails faster than a Hunter Biden coke fest at the Casa Blanca!

Think our collective is badly mismanaged. How many on here have actually been approached or contributed to the collective?

Not sure who these guys are going to but we should have a donation link on this website (and every other Miami fans website) to donate.

This is exactly what Michigan was dealing with early on. Harbaugh wanted money only to be spent on current roster players.

Well their recruiting struggled last year. Now they got a collective and are better organized to allocate funds to recruits while still keeping active players happy.

It’s not different than a 2nd or 3rd year pro on their rookie contract being one of the best in the nfl making peanuts and then the team brings in a 1st rd kid who is getting paid 40 million. Players got what they got and can try to renegotiate or create more value. College is now semi pro more than ever before. It’s a lot of coaches, staffs and admins to navigate. It’s no excuse for the recruiting right now but it’s harder than ever to build a roster I think.

Hats off to the coaches who want to deal with this bull**** for their careers. Mario needs to win and more money will get poured into the program. Winning solves most anything. 5-7 seasons only makes your job that much harder

Seems like almost the perfect storm.

20 years of suck.

5-7 last year.

Most others getting their **** together this year with NIL and more than likely still dropping bags.

Unless our NIL takes a big leap and/or we have a very good season, it could be very ugly in Dec
