They are not writing off a Lightfoot or Blount return at all. It's October 14th so nobody really knows.
To me Blount is the one who really should come back most being super young for his class. If Lightfoot continues to impress not really sure how much upside he has to stay longer. A lot of people will say he needs to stay to keep putting on more size but at his frame he might max out around 245 anyways.

The Williams and Auburn crap sucks. I would guess the money will go to a portal O lineman which I’m fine with.
Auburn , that's just smoke have to believe that UGA & Bama are who we have to beat for this guy.
portal cash needs to go to OL/DL next year

What is he now 230 ? He needs to at least come back gain 15 points or even 10 and get stronger . I don’t see him going in the first round if he leaves early . I don’t see Blount or Scott going either . I see Motten what is he in year 4 .He would left after 3 prob be 5th round .
Many quotes before the season said he was approaching 240, so probably around 235 or so. I think he could benefit from another year at the U but who knows what happens if he plays really well the rest of the year and into the Playoffs. Pass rushers are always in demand.

Absolutely not getting my hopes up that MM shows up tomorrow. Waiting for the next update to say, "Matthews had every intention on going but forgot it was his grandfathers 85th surprise birthday party that same night and of course he couldnt miss it but plans on maybe catching a home game later in the year if schedule permits".. Over and out. Done and done. Stick a fork in this.

Now if he does show up......................................all bets are off.

If he attends the game, then he confirms he's soured on the Elko Eraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

flip both MM and the LB commit of theirs and we'll for sure get some Elko media meltdown comments

He’d have to play insane ball to finish the season to go R1 imo. Not a knock on him as a player. Just a lot of good ends this year. And next year he’d be the unquestioned #1 end here. Pre NIL he’d be as good as gone.
His production is very good, his measurables are top tier & he will kill at the combine. He will be a 1st or 2nd round pick if he stays healthy this year. He could move into top of the draft next year so there is a legit conversation to be had with him & his people.

With how much guys are getting paid in college, wouldn’t surprise me if some our d line stays and continue to develop under JT. Honestly we’re probably paying more than most of these rookie contracts
