Golden knew from day one that he was not capable of winning at miami and his only mission was to cash out. He was at Virginia as DC and he parlayed that into the temple job. A friend I know from PA and was involved in the athletic staff says that basically he scheduled weak ooc opponents and got the administration to allow him to being in "rough" inner city kids to play. He also had the largest budget in the MAC at Temple. What if as a back up to failing here Al schemes his way into a contract extension. And NOW 4 years later (when most coaches fruit began to show) he doesn't wanna be here any longer and is daring the BOT to fire him. I mean it sounds crazy but seriously the bone head moves this guy makes....defensive scheme, minimal practice before a bowl, no adjustments during games, going to a press d that shows success and then reverting back to zone after NC and V-tech??? Like he has to know that after this he will most likely never coach D-1 major college program again.
