i actually agree with OP. i feel like our expectation is failure right now, which means manny can spin any win as toughness and growth. we need to set the bar where it's supposed to be -- going undefeated -- so that when manny fails to do so, we can pile on him more.

History can also repeat itself on the other side. The last time I saw a team this demoralized was in Golden’s last year. They promptly went out and got stomped 58-0. It can go either way, but I’d bet on it going that way rather than the movie-style turnaround.
