I think the solution is much simpler what a lot of people here thing. Richt may not make the changes that is needed (new QB coach, OC coach, and new special teams coach, etc), but we can force him. See my solution below:

What if we “promote him” to “co-athletics director and head coach”? This will be just a title, but we pay him $1 million extra and he is REQUIRED per contract to make all the changes in return. He will not make any AD type decisions. Mind you that he will still be head coach, but with this new title and money, he might be more willing to make the necessary changes necessary for us to succeed.

Did you just start following Miami? Serious question that must be answered before we start to entertain your complete fantasy of an OP

You’ve got CMR for at least one more season after this. Any other options are delusional.

So we give him a $1 million raise for going 5-7??? DA FUHH?????

I think you need to run your ideas by other people before you post them here.

Paying dude an extra $1 Million, and giving our HC a glorified title to make him feel better about not being able to do his job. GTFO.

No thanks. His loser mentality would just permeate all the way down the line.

Clean house. I'm not on board with Butch as the next coach but I wouldn't be opposed to Butch as the next AD. We need an athletic department full of **** heads that want to win. Hiring nice guys might be great for the company picnic, but results don't follow.

Interesting. You want **** heads to run our athletic program. Are you available?

You want to put a completely inept person in a higher position? I don’t want his ineptitude/complacency/laziness to infect the program any more

Barf... did you work in the federal government.... where they promote the problem people instead of firing them...

The "Peter Principle" is at play here. Richt was competent as a coordinator, but he's since reached his level of incompetence. That's not to say he's not had success -he has. But it's likely his competence doesn't have a next level. Just throwing it out there.

what simply amazes me with the BOT/AD is the lack of reliance/guidance on JJ to help program.
he sits down in the keys and NFL mgmt. come down college guys come down and he acts as consultant
he bleeds green & orange who do you want to lead JJ or CMR and Blake ??

Mork should be the team pastor. He can pray with team in the locker room and sprinkle holy water on the players as they come out of the tunnel. But I do not want this man anywhere near our sideline!!
