What if Mario had fixed the discipline, the turnovers, the third-down execution, the red-zone finishing, the composure — and stopped playing so conservative during SMU and LU!

We’d be playing for the ACC, not sitting on our knees hoping for a CFP miracle.

Two years in, and we’ve saw the same movie: penalties, sloppy mistakes, and playing not to lose. Don’t even get me started on the GTU fumble — still can’t believe that happened.

I’m tired of reading excuses. It’s not the refs. It’s not the ACC. It’s not Notre Dame, ESPN, or people “hating The U.”

The problem was Mario. Mario ruined 2 seasons in a row, 2 QBs, and the hopes of the U fan base!

Lets GO CANES!

What if the refs rightfully called that a fumble against SMU or maybe called the mugging in the end zone on the last play, or maybe didn't call some BS holding penalty against us when the DE fell at the guys feet and he falls on him.

GAYYYY

Just be aggressive and creative from start, finish games the right way.. The right mindset was taking shots late and trying to score from jump.. Putting the mindset of turtling up on team made us play like pussies and it caught up to us.. Now I have to watch games I dont care about and hope

Pick your poison. Without Mario it's very questionable whether we have the players to even be in this position. So sure if we magically had a better game day clone Mario with regular Mario making all the recruiting and assistant coach hiring moves and raising the $$ and building the infrastructure than sure, we're golden. But it doesn't work that way.

Common Miami did not play well that game, lack of preparation, we should NOT be crying about refs, we should have blown out a team ranked 50 plus in recruiting! Even if the held, mugged, and all the other excuses, we should have kicked their a$$es! We did not and it falls on Coach Cristobal!

What if we hired Lane instead when we had the chance?

This. We started the year wanting to be this tough bully ball team and kept smashing the circle into the square hole with because Marion wanted it

Just scheme and beat the other team… create mismatches with playmakers (Toney, Pringle, Moore, etc) and put stress on defenses in one on one situations instead of playing phone booth offense bringing **** near all 11 guys into the box to have a chance on make a play
