What Happened Wednesday Jarren Hightower and Tate

What's the guy's qualifications besides a flash in the pan football program that has come back down to earth?
He’s worked his way thru the ranks and was pretty much raised to be an AD. He hired Frost then Huepel at UCF, also hired Dawkins for the b-ball program. He also brought Bobby Hurley to Buffalo when he was AD there. His father is Duke’s AD, his brother is FAU’s AD, his sister is assistant AD at SMU and his other brother is HC for UF basketball. So he’s made solid hires and has an many connections just thru family alone!

I wish I never knew about the behind the scenes soap opera drama that engulfs this program on a weekly basis.

A
Watch the video, something definitely happened.
A few observations from the post game videos.

1. Manny is hesitant and has lost his confidence and bravado of his words and messaging. He looks and sounds defeated and confused.

2. Manny has lost control of the QB room and the messaging regarding who is the QB. He could have said many other plausible statemnets but he still is stuck on Jarren is the guy. That doesn't seem plausible if The Guy was ready to leave the program last Wednesday and The Guy went AWOL last Wednesday. If this is true then the program is in deep caca.

3. Jarren answered a question that wasn't asked (at least hadn't yet been asked) when he said he was committed to the team and to the program, which means he was programmed to say that. It was rehearsed. He used the same words later when asked about where the team goes from here. In addition, his body language and eye movement suggest he was lying when he said he was committed. His non verbal messaging strongly suggests he is not.

JW been jerked around since he been at the U(not given a chance his freshman year) then this year at the first sign of adversity for him vs va tech you bench him after a bad quarter and don’t give him a shot after he has done well in most of the games. People can’t waste eligibility when they are trying to make it so I get It. But honestly Who cares? we got the W at the end of the day
Benching him was the best call. He was hurt bad at CMU. happened right in front of us. He wasn't physically ready to play. His arm was hurt and weak.

Spoke to dad of a current player who says his son is considering leaving. He also said that some of the players have told commits to reconsider. Blake needs to go, the BOT is finally realizing who is at fault for all of this.

imma keep it real just because players leaving doesnt mean thats all of the coaches. We have had 2 staffs that have alluded to problems in the lockerroom. we need to weed some of that Sch*t out. We are softer than charmin toilet paper

Man stop it. All this playing favorites is sickening. Williams got a fair chance and did nothing with it. That’s on him that he left the door open for Perry to sneak in

Not buying the "kids are telling recruits not to come here" talk. If you know this then the staff does too and would kick those kids immediately off the team. That is a cancer like no other.

That said, Diaz just needs to find a way to win out and get out of this season. Its been a nightmare for him. He needs to fire the entire offensive staff for starters and hit the reset button. I don't know if the admins are going to fire Blake but if they do, I am fine with that too.

As far as JW, he looked like total **** against VT. If we had kept him in that game we would have lost 56-0. Not sure what hes crying about. If hes hurt, he needs to stay on the sidelines. He just hurting the team at this point. (I.E, Lingard admitting to the coaches hes not 100% yet) That said, if hes healthy, he needs to play. Nkosi just isn't the answer either.

ill give perry this -- he easily couldve left when he didnt win the starting job like reed. he didnt. he stayed and he supported everyone in front of him. we need more kids willing to work and put in the time and not expect **** to get handed to them. all these kids seem like they want it on a silver platter, but very few are willing to put in the work.

Unfortunately that’s the nature of the qb position. A lot of highly ranked qbs look elsewhere if they are not playing and become very successful. Last few years of college football is littered with successful transfer qbs. Limited clock to put on tape for the next level and kids want to play. Is what it is at the end of the day. Justin fields, Jacob Eason, baker mayfield, kyler murray, jalen hurts and a host of other names are recent examples of this
