No I formation. No Ace. No lead blocker. We run a limited amount of pistol but we telegraph everything. Every pistol run is off tackle., predominately to the right. Every shotgun is always to the opposite side of where he is lined up and is almost always to the right.

****, I'll take a shot at this one...James Coley? And Al too, I noticed at one point last weekend, kaaya comes to sideline to talk to Coley. And Al literally made his way over to the conversation and laid his sweaty right *** on Coley's left shoulder. I couldn't believe that, guess he was thinking they might "rise to the occasion " if he didn't intervene. Gotta be tougher to work for him. But Coley sucks at his job as well.

The ol is awful, they don't want them to be pushed back on BK's leg right when he takes the snap. The ol is that bad.

Thanks Art and Al

I'm with you OP. We are running zone runs with 2 ton maulers upfront. Typical al golden not recruiting for a scheme then not adjusting scheme to fit his players.

We also run every time out of the pistol. I noticed we never audible out of the run vs vt when they had 8 in the box

Alfraud Folden happened.........................to everything!

The only 'Power I' happening near the program is the veiny c()ck that Alex Gall takes from the man-lover that proudly holds his bussoms up for picture day.

Last time we had any power running game was vs NC in the 4th Q with Dallas Crawford at RB

I find it an odd disconnect that Al preaches weight and strength every chance he gets. We all complain that he is trying to make us Penn State or a Big Ten team. But for 5 years under him this team cant convert a third and short to save its life. With that kind of record it has to be everything really; recruiting, corching, attitude and the dreaded "scheme".
Mind bottling.

We don't have Gus. I'm waiting for someone to say that, as if Gus has ever been a short yardage or yards after contact runner.

Real answer, OL technique and play calling.

One problem with the running game is it's *predictable*. Against VT, Miami ran an off tackle play almost every 1st and 10. Bud Foster quickly figred this out and started loading the box every 1st down, and the result was usually a no gain.

Less predictable play calling would help.

I'd like to see some wildcat with Yearby at QB and Coley as his sidekick.
