How quickly you guys turn on probably the only coach in America that would stay with a program under such circumstances as he had to endure. I'm not a Golden apologist, but just a rational thinker. Do you expect a guy that stuck with us through almost 2 and a half years of misery, to just up and fire his staff members. These guys came from a program that was almost shutdown. They had no pressure at all. Everything could be done at their own pace. Now they are dropped into the extreme pressure cooker that is the Miami fanbase, as well as the NCAA garbage. Two things they have never had to deal with. None of us can know the pressure Al and his staff are under. None of these guys want to lose, and obviously they want to be here. Al is not a moron, and I believe if he feels change is needed, regardless if its his friends or not, he will make them.
I can't blame guys like Highsmith, Gaines, Corneilious , or Green. It's not their fault they were offered a scholarship. They are trying to follow their dream, just like anyone of us would do. Again, none of us can imagine the work these guys put in. Yes its true that they don't possess the natural talent for this level of football, but someone afforded them the opportunity and they took it, as any of us would.
I know its frustrating to watch, and that sick feeling creeps into your stomach when we lose. But being a true fan is sticking with your team through the good, the bad, and the ugly. Not making thread after thread, trashing the players and coaches, and saying they don't deserve a crowd at the games. Nobody wants to win more than they do. Because at the end of the day, these guys have families, parents, friends, girlfriends, that they sacrifice spending time with to play the game they love. And that's just what it is, a game. Not life or death, or something to be miserable about. Because win or lose, the next day your life is going to be there. As bad as things get, I will never give up on my team and stop cheering for them. Hopefully, nobody here will either.
