What good teams do

Ohio State vs B1G opponents thus far:

This is how great teams deal with inferior competition.

The eye test through the first 5 games indicated we were on par with Ohio State and every other great team in the country. The eye test did not lie, that was a completely different team on the field last night. Soft, reactive, taking the punches but afraid to dole them out.

The ACC is like our boogie man. Every single year. The game plans looked like they were being called by Dan Enos and late 2024 Lance Guidry.

Our head coach wants to act like the bully but then cowers to the nerdy kid in the school yard. How the **** does this keep happening? Any genuine theories?

I almost think if we can make our way into the playoffs we’ll do great, Mario doesn’t seem to have an issue with the big stage. But I have no faith he can beat teams we’re double digit favorites against, which is insane.

I don't think this is true. OSU has always been the best team in CFB this year. There were fair questions whether they'd slip up if they didn't trust Sayin to throw the ball down the field to their elite WRs. They've taken the training wheels off him and are killing everybody.

So you picked the defending champions as the outlier.

ND lost to NIU and ended up in the champ game.

Find me some “great” teams over the years that whitewashed every team they played. It’s an almost nonexistent list.

Agreed. We’ll see if the team circles the wagons like those teams did… Mario is gonna have to not only win the rest of the season but with style points.

It remains to be seen if Miami 'circles the wagons' or calls it a season. History is not on the Canes side. I would love to see it happen but my expectations are two more losses, maybe a third. 9-3, maybe 8-4.

No need to answer because you’re not a good team if you’re in that category consistently which we are year after year
 
Yes that’s what good teams do.. but OSU hasn’t played anyone so far lol.. we’ve played by far a better schedule

That UL probably beats everyone on their schedule so far

Ohio State would blow Miami out by 30 points. We’re not playing the same sport right now, get real.

I guess we have a different definition of good.
I think you mean elite
We were #13 in the bcs playoff at the end of the season last year
We are top 10 mid way through this season
Being a playoff contender is good to me, rather be elite though

They should have been preseason #1 over all hype Texas.
