This is a big part of the problem right here. He made the mistake of running his mouth and setting up huge expectations. Now he’s paying the price.

How do we fix it ? What coach out there can we realistically get that can turn this program around?
We have tried rookie coaches(shannon, manny). We have a tried a coach that cut his teeth at another program(Golden). We have tried a veteran coach(Richt).

Maybe we should move to the AAC. Man I dont know. We may not have championship talent but we have talent for at least 10 wins a year. Something is missing...I just dont know how to fix it

Honestly do you have any confidence at all we can conduct a well ran coaching search and get it right?
I don't. I think we have better odds at winning the lottery than getting it right.

Ed Orgeron blueprint. Pair Diaz up with Venables like Orgeron/Aranda. Ed was a bigger joke than Diaz. 10-25 as a HC at Mississippi State. Now LSU is #5. Working out pretty well. Eddy O also realized he made a mistake in OC and fired him after one 1 year. It's the sign of guy who is willing to acknowledge he doesn't know anything. I don't think Diaz is as self-aware. He could fix this quickly and most of us would forgive him and give him a 2nd chance even after this bad start if he comes to the realization that he made a poor evaluation on coaching staff, cleans house, then brings in a top notch staff.

There's too much to fix right now. If we go 6-7 or 7-6, I don't think there will be any changes to staff. 2-10, I think Manny is forced to fire 3-4 coaches. Anything in between, maybe a coach or 2.
