Actually the OP raises a question that only time will answer. Shalala was brought in to run the foundation after she left UM. It is a subject of a money laundering operation for Hillary's pay for play scandal as secretary of state. Hopefully Shalala hasn't tried to cover anything up as she could face a possible obstruction charge. The FBI refuses to discuss whether there is an ongoing investigation into this.

How did she lose millions in prescription money? Was this during her tenure at HHS? She would have been in charge of Medicare and Medicaid.
