He tried to get this kid but he changed his mind and its on Manny? Besides The Tenn LB (who was locked in with Bama), what other difference maker at LB was out there?

His LB recruiting and personnel choices are *** but how is this his fault. I dont have access to the full article though so maybe Manny tuned him down?

no. the kid's coach knew Franklin for more than 20 years. He told him that Penn State was a better fit. The whole thing changed in literally 10 minutes. Kid was going to be a Cane. Not Manny's fault

And so he's not here...It's all on deazz! You can't take the credit when you hit gold (Phillips and Roche) and then put blame elsewhere when you fail, THAT IS NOT LEADERSHIP. Rumor has it that the kid from Vandy wouldn't commit to two years and so deazz walked away from him.

The idea we couldn't find one more transfer at DE and one MLB transfer better than McCloud and Flagg is laughable. He misdiagnosed his (lack of) talent (again) and didn't work it hard enough.

I like Manny, want him to win outright the rest of the year and grow into a great HC. But everyone with a brain cell saw that MLB was the biggest weakness on the D, followed by CB (good for him getting Stevenson!), followed by DE. He is so friggin ****y about player quality he can't see the flaws. It sometimes feels like Golden and D'O. Not as bad. But too much cognitive dissonance.

And again, I know he was in bad shape with counters. But he needed to find a way.

Lmao you are so wrong about the kid from Vandy. The only reason he was considering us is because his girlfriend was moving to Miami to start her career. But hey blame everything on "deazz!"

Hate to break it to you but we are going to rely on the TP for some key positions (b/c of lack of depth) over the next few years. DE, LB will be the main ones and probably OL. And, we'll be looking for starter types.
 
It’s been said by every analyst. The transfer portal is here to stay and schools are going to be recruiting it every year keeping counters open from the usual HS kids. We’re always going to be looking for kids from the portal and we’re always going to pull 3-4 from there regardless. Just how the game goes now
