Ohio State just paid Yurcich 950K a year as QB Coach/Passing game coordinator. What can we offer top end assistants?

Not sure we can match that $$ at the position level.......maybe throw in a few South Beach hookers and a few roofies

If our budget is the same as last year, we should have an extra $1.5m from what we’re saving on the transition from Richt to Diaz alone.

Obviously we don't have that kind of cash. If we paid a QB coach that much we'd have to take the hit somewhere. If we want to compete with osu, we're going to have to do more with less. Just like always.

He didn’t get the title but got paid like an oc

Kevin Wilson was the OC this year and I believe Day will retain him. 950 for QB/passing game is high.Coordinators getting 2+ million are not uncommon so hopefully we can pay a high level OC what we need to bring him in.

More then when Shalala was here. If Manny is able to get the $ he needs to hire who he wants, he absolutely will have us in the playoffs within the next 3 years. Hes the perfect man for the job. Cant wait to see how the staff fills out. Im very optimistic.

OSU, BAMA, Clemson on another level...
Texas a&m is on another level than all of them paying that former Notre Dame coach 2.2 million as their dc. They also out bidder James coley last year to be their oc but he liked Athens a lot and stayed.

My best guess (I’m sure I’m way off)

Richt - 4m
Diaz - 1.5m (I think I remember a rumor/report that he was offered that to stay instead of going to temple)
Richt jr - 150k
Searals - 200k
Hartley - 200k
Simpson - 200k
Banda- 200k
Dugans - 200k
Patke - 150k
Rumph - 150k

Total - $7m budget

* I think Golden was at 400k, obviously cheap for a HC. Based on that I’m guessing the assistants are at about half of that.

Except we just paid Richt's salary for a year to buyout Diaz.

True, but I’m sure Banda, Patke and Baker are getting raises

Yeah but can’t be that much because they aren’t top dollar coaches. They are bargains which is good IF you spend the rest of that money you can on great offensive hires

Brown was making like $500k and Dugans was pulling more than $200k

Saw Bama-UK several years ago in Lexington. Bama brought their own ambulance! You are right, those schools are at another level along with A&M, LSU, Texas and a few others. We have to get lucky with some hires.

Ryan day was the co oc this year too, they have to replace him and yurich has an incentive in going there because he’s from there too
