What a Saturday!! It’s hard to win games

There is a lot more parity in college football. Not quite like the NFL, but a level of parity nonetheless.

The days of Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, and a few other teams were allowed to hoard all the talent are over. Any program with organization and money can higher coaches and build a roster. Athletic departments still need to make wise decisions, but the days of rolling the ball out on the field and winning 10 or 11 of 12 games because of the logo on your helmet are close to gone.

College football on the whole is better off now than it was 5 years ago.

People need to get over the notion that we should be rolling up teams every minute of every game. Teams don’t do that anymore. Get the win and move on.

I thinkbyoure reading the grief wrong. These teams can't score...ours can...we just choose not to or impose our will running into stacked boxes.

We haven't had to really sweat a win to this point...but I don't want to start either.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot today. I think the parity shows up most with this. I think the days of 21+ point blow out wins against P4 teams are going to fade away

I don’t think the top teams will be as strong as they once were, and more susceptible to upsets. The disparity between the top half dozen teams and the next dozen or so is not as wide. Today it is a perfect example. A lot of ranked teams lost to lower or unranked teams. Fourth ranked Ole Miss, a prohibitive favorite, was fortunate not to lose at home to Washington State.

Even the best and better teams need to bring their A game every week or these upsets can happen.

This is why I posted in another thread the Miami at Pittsburgh game at the end of the year may be a closer game than we like. Got a bit of grief for that post but we’ve yet to see Miami play a complete game, and the game is on the road at the end of November. Weather may be a factor. Miami and Mario’s history in November is not stellar.

I do expect Miami to win out the remainder of the regular season.

If yall watching these games weekly not thanking your lucky stars that we have Beck idk what to tell you. The QB play is downright dog **** right now across the country.

We have one of the few that can lead a team to a Natty.

I don’t see Miami going undefeated. They are due for a clunker somewhere along the way

I won’t celebrate OU and Oregon losing in the same day because the tables could easily be turned on us at some point this season. But I will admit that I was cheering loudly for Texas and Indiana yesterday.
