What’s Mario’s primary goal for the bowl game?

Mario followed Greg Schiano to Rutgers in 2001 where he coaches the o-line and tight ends for three years before coming back to Miami.

You really think he's not out to beat his old boss and the first real job he ever had (a grad assistant at UM for three years before he left for Rutgers).

Who’s even left on the team besides the freshman??

We're only replacing our Safeties defensively. Offensively we'll need at least 4 new starters for the bowl game, from guys who didn't play a large majority of snaps ( OC, OG, QB, WR ). We weren't a young team last year, but we weren't old either.

If I was the head coach I would let Jacurri let it loose with long pass play, rollouts, deep out routes, a few trick plays, design drop back run plays, and go for four downs whenever possible. He has been a model teammate and give him the spotlight to shine. My greatest fear is clock management and day game head coaching decisions. Coach Cristobal gets a big fat F for that department in his short tenure. Unfortunately, on the day of the game he is unquestionably the team's greatest liability!

For Mario his goal is just win.... I am all for having the bowl games be like preseason in football or spring training in baseball however. Especially with the playoff field expanding to 12 teams. outside of the top 12, those bowls aint gonna mean jack TBH so why not let some of the young kids or guys who worked hard all year get burn? Your top NFL picks arent going to play so just cut the young pups loose and if you lose you have an excuse of we didnt have all our playmakers and wanted the young guys to play, if you win you can sell the future to recruits about how good the young guys are.

1. You play to win the game

2. You get to see some younger guys play real minutes

3. You continue to develop players and culture

To #1, not many kids who have never taken a snap start the bowl game, so I am intrigued to see what that looks like. 2 weeks to get QB1 ready.
