What’s considered a success

I would take the ugliest stat line in the history of the sport for a win, I get what you are asking but it is so irrelevant to my feeling about the result to be honest.
 
For me, it is not getting blown out. Of course a win is a success. I would also consider a 35-17 loss a win. I just would be annoyed if its a loss that is a 49-14 beatdown or worse.
