Manny is a really nice guy but I’m not sure about his Football IQ. I remember a few times last year when we were behind and he was actually studying his math grid if we should go for two or the PA. Right then I said ###%@$. We have a Nucklehead again!! Unfortunately my opinion has not changed.

You can't constantly ask for the HC to be fired.

That seems to be the default for a lot of fans on here - "Oh we don't look like the 2001 Canes in Year 2? Fire the HC, he ain't it".

It's exhausting. Diaz probably isn't the guy - part of that is because he's unfortunately learning how to be a HC on the job. He's not helped by the undeniable fact that this just isn't a talented Miami roster. At least not the upperclassmen.

That said, he's recruiting at a tremendous clip and he's rectifying mistakes in the offseason. The big challenge I'm looking for in January is him correcting the defensive side of the ball - if he sticks with Baker / Rumph and his boys, THEN we've got a problem.

I'm not going to tell other people how to live their lives, but I'll share my approach: ride this season out. We've clearly improved on last year, although it's not pretty at times. Win enough games to hold this recruiting class together and see what happens next year (accepting that we're probably going to drop another game or two if we play like we did last night again).

Diaz is going to be a Jimmy's and Joe's HC, rather than an X's and O's coach - and that's perfectly fine if you can recruit. Which, at the moment, he obviously can.

You wanna see what's wrong look how many unqualified position coaches Diaz chose to put on the staff. LB coach, garbage, OL coach, no pedigree, Rumph, nuff said. Banda the same. That's just some of them. Mark Richt did it on the offense and Golden did it on the defense. Why are these coaches getting so much autonomy to hire and they are hiring friends and family

Outside of our ability to recruit cb, ol and lb our staff is fine. Let's see what this years class brings. Seems to be getting better.
