In a spring battle of dueling Warriors, the visitors from Miami — a team that lost only six players from a state semifinal run derailed by Clearwater Central Catholic last fall — dominated a young Calvary squad. Scoring on six of its first seven possessions, Westminster Christian (420 offensive yards) sent the game into running time early in the third quarter. …University of Miami verbal commit Jordan Cronkrite (seven carries, 75 yards, TD) showed dazzling maneuverability while second-stringers Michael Whyte (80-yard TD run) and Anthony Machado (75-yard end zone sprint) flashed superb speed. …For Calvary, junior-to-be Joey Gannaio was a force at left defensive end as he was personally responsible for over half of Westminster’s incomplete passes with three bat downs and an interception returned 34 yards. …Senior-to-be Dayne Dawson had a highlight-reel catch near halftime, pulling in a Jeremy Wood bullet in stride with one hand for a 22-yard gain on third down. …Calvary had four turnovers while six penalties and six sacks scuttled its offense. The host Warriors’ best shots at scoring came when they missed field goal tries of 50 and 45 yards.

No mention of Tim Irvin... but he also balled. Saw him catch a really nice 3-yard fade into the back of the endzone. Was also making plays on defense and out of the backfield. Must get IMO

Cronkrite is a beast.

No team in the entire country will have a better RB haul than us if we're able to hang onto Williams and Cronkrite. Fingers crossed.
