Wesley Bissainthe has added muscle

I hope it's more of a kitchen sink situation where everything comes together -- the S&C combined + Hetherman's scheme + an offseason to improve his play identification + better players around him + more maturity.
I hope so. I have my concerns with his ability to read plays though. I worry about how he processes through adversity.

I am with you, here. I personally don't have Wesley starting this year. We shall see. My biggest concern is the D jelling. I see 8 new starters on D. I have Mesi, Bain and OJ as the only returning starters. If Wes does start its still 7 new starters.

I definitely think he could surprise some people. Overall, I think the LB room could be a real strength. It's super deep with talent now.
Wont be a surprise to me, aside from kiko i don’t think they were bad last year.

That's where i'm at with him. The new scheme should in theory keep him clean to react and make plays as a Will but just seemed a little slow or looked lost out there some times. Granted that was alot of the individuals on defense last year as well.

That was what I was suggesting in my post, too. LB is QB of the defense. More than anyone on the D, they need to process quickly. Perryman was elite at that. Wes has struggled.

The S&C will help. But the bigger improvement could come with Hetherman doing with Wes what Lashlee did for TVD, make things less complex, and get his confidence up with fewer responsibilities. More rotation will help, too.

You think the Senior who has started every year under Mario and was one of the guys that went to Media day isn't gonna start? Yeah I highly doubt that lol. Mario will play young guys, but he doesn't not start Old guys who have been multi-year starters.

I really hope last year was more of being put out of position due to scheme. Wes needs to show sideline to sideline speed and good tackling or he may not get drafted. Ive been waiting on his breakout season since we recruited him.

Know he’s a senior, but can he get another year? LB has been a weakness for years. Absolutely love that Heatherman is not only a defensive mastermind, but also the LB whisperer. Would love to see Wes back another year
