Welp, that was a happening...We were mostly pushed around.

Not concerned about the offense. VT has a top-3 defense on our schedule (along with Louisville and FSU). And we put up 38 pts and 500+ yards, despite 3 turnovers (2 of which probably cost us 14 more pts). Cam made some mistakes, but he's still a tremendous player.

Defense on the other hand, yeah that needs to improve, especially to beat Brohm and Louisville

My concern is how much VT had a 4 man front. Yes they flashed in and out of front coverages.

But, the four got upfield.

Hi there this will be a good wake up call or they are actually pretty **** good up front...

Or we got problems, and we're going to be what I thought we were we should be 10 and 2

VT has an elite DL unit. It was ranked top-10 nationally in pretty much every pre-season publication for a reason. They're back 7 is just average to above average but thats a tough front 4, especially when you're playing backups on the OL
 
Rivers needs to get back… bell was beat like a drum a few times.

A nice hard coaching moment to look at film and remind the team they ain’t **** till the last game of the season and we are every single ******* teams SUPER BOWL…

The god dam VT kicker hit a 58 and 53 yard FGs… who the **** is he?? Brandon Aubrey the Dallas cowboys kicker???
 
we had 508 yards to their 394

we had 3 bad turnovers (they got 14 points off of them), they scored on a double reverse, we had a horrific PI call, they had two players wearing same jersey on their longest field goal which should have pushed them out of field goal range, and we got a jacolby George TD called back on a BS holding call

we didn't play well, but we didn't get dominated or "pushed around"
 
Virginia Tech is a horizontal team offensively. They less pushed us around, more gassed the **** out of us and pushed us around. It was hot as **** out there, too. That wide zone they run takes a lot out of a defense. Everybody has to ******* SPRINT or their gap opens up and its GONE. Happened to us quite a bit tonight. That back Tuten is a good back for that system.

Drones kept our defense honest as Kiko was blitzing or spying most of the night and as a result, the whole middle of the field stayed open and put a lot of stress on our safeties.

VaTech was a good, well coached football team. Capitalized on our mistakes. Cam is going to have a game like that here n there. And we did enough to win the clunker.

Also, its ******* Friday night. Friday night is where wacky college football games happen. It just happened to be us and lady luck was on our side tonight.

I wish you all would just have as much fun as I am having right now.

You all need to exorcise some demons yourselves.

I want number six.

Why not us? It can be.

VT kicker never hits one over 50.... until he plays us. Typical.

good point ... line played the worse they've played all year ... both lines
 
Need to remember that they scored of 2 of the 3 turnovers and that both of the INT’s were within the 10 yard line, so essentially a potential 28 point swing and 20 point at minimum…

Agreed. That was insane.

So many ridiculous things had to happen to have the game turn out like it did. The kicker, who wears a #17 jersey, hitting a 58 yarder while another guy wearing a #17 jersey was blocking for him was definitely part of it.
