dont know what to say much more than that but the big takeaway is that Miami wasted an elite defense. Again, if the offense would've just scored 28 pts a game, they would be 11-1 and in the mix for some big things

Honestly, the bowl game is what it is, Im looking forward more to the off season to see what staff changes - if any - will be made. The fact that Richt, a supposed offensive guru and QB whisperer, is reportedly being forced to make changes on that side of the ball is an indictment on his current system. Also, just what will the actual roster look like going into spring ball?

This schedule was made for an 11-1 type of season, they ended up 7-5 as they couldn't beat the murderers row of UVa. BC, Duke and GaTech. I actually dozed off for a bit during the second half. Miami isnt the most entertaining team, it is what it is

What are the bowl projections now?

It'd be nice to finish on a 3 game win streak instead of a 3 game losing streak.

It's crazy how many Freshmans play meaningful minutes for this team. No wonder it's a middling ACC team. The biggest question for the offseason is CMR and an OC. Diaz earned his pay.

Is it not customary to already start making staff changes before your bowl game? If we're going to make them we need to start making them NOW. The longer we wait the more recruits and players thinking about transferring we lose.

Unfortunately, Richt is not giving up play calling. He will hang his hat on “righting the ship” after 4 straight losses. We will continue to be mediocre on offense until he does.

Gonzo, honestly, that's not one of my complaints of this season or Richt. In both 16 and 17 UM played a lot of true freshman(more than I can ever recall) and they made significant contributions from Ahmonn Richards, Joe Jax, Shaq, Jordan(this past season), etc. That's the reality of todays college football.

If you're redshirting liberally, that will backfire on two levels. Many players(who are really talented) arent planning to be here four or five years. Also, other programs will negatively recruit this against you

Freshman playing meaningful minutes is not the reason this team is a middling ACC team.

This years offense played waaaay more freshman than 2016 or 2017. Not even close.

QB-Perry
RB-Davis
TE-Jordan
TE-Mallory
OL-Scaife
WR-Pope
WR-Wiggins
WR-Hightower
WR-Njoku

Bottom line tons of youth and no leadership on that side of the ball.

Turnovers cost us dearly, and of course our offensive style does the youngsters no favors.

You make it sound like these guys all played together as a unit. They didnt. Hightower was injured for much of the season. Davis didn't play till the last few weeks. Njoku didn't get much PT till the last two weeks. Pope couldn't even get on the field for the bulk of the season

Having Jordan out there didnt hurt UM at all, in fact, he was already one of our better players.

Scaife was probably the one guy that got a lot of snaps that you said to yourself,"OK, this might be an issue' because of the position he was playing

UM's upperclassmen had major issues to in this prehistoRicht offense

I’d think you’d be surprised how many snaps those freshman WRs played.

I remember on the terrible INt Perry threw at UVA I saw Wiggins, Pope, Perry, Scaife, And Jordan all on the field I was like 5 freshman on the field at one time is not a good recipe.

Jordan is going to be great TE here imo, but he wasn’t as good as Herndon was last year nor should’ve he have been. Less catches, less yards, less average per catch, and not as good of a blocker.

The same offense in 2016 was clicking by years end with a talented mostly upperclassmen group.

Richts offense has proven with talent and experience it can be effective, BUT we shouldnt have to have all the right ingredients to have a high powered offense. We need an OC to make it easier on everyone on offense.
