I like butch but could he beat Dabo or Saban for a p surtain or a j jeudy? I doubt it . Saban is doing it right now butch did it a long time ago. No comparison

You are confusing the job requirements in many ways.

Maybe he could. He convinced DJ Williams to come here from California when we were not back at the top of the world.

But Surtain and Jeudy are two kids, and Alabama is one program. He is the best evaluator and a great recruiter. Period.

Some kids will keep going elsewhere until we are back to credible relative to other top teams. The best recruiters will help us get back to credible. The job requirement isn’t perfection.

people are so **** stupid ... Butch was a college football analyst for ESPN for years and during the time he did this he
maintained good contacts and relationships with South Florida HS coaches and programs. Butch is smart as **** and he knew
that he really wanted to coach at Miami again one day and these relationships were very important.
South Florida coaches and players know who Butch is and they know his great history at Miami. Hire the man.

Stop it, Donna. The fan base is so excited over the thought of Butch coming back, they are everywhere doing imitation of Bill marking Monica;s dress.

People are adamant about butch. If we hire him I would be happy but still a tricky situation. Butch as HC but a young and upcoming staff

They'll say that with Dino, Mario, everyone. Butch is a monkey on the programs back that needs to be fed right into the teeth of this fan base. Only then can we truly rebuild.
