Funny, what coach Sol's saying is exactly what I been preaching, knows the landscape better than anybody, done it before, like he's prolly on the trail right now like a good coon dog, highest % of ANYBODY to turn this bish around quickly

Could it work? Sure but he doesn’t excite the recruits or fan base. We are desperate for some positive momentum

I wanted Butch before Richt became available. Would be happy to have Butch back. He is a winner at every place he goes, including FIU which never had back-to-back winning season before him.... But I also like Babers, the NC State guy, and a few others better. Let's get the best on the boards.

No-one would excite the fan base more than Butch. Ticket sales would increase significantly. Recruits would flock to play for Butch at Miami. You know that he built the greatest CFB team ever, right? Go back and watch old highlights. Those teams were incredible. Nothing would galvanize and excite the fanbase more than bringing Butch back. It would be an absolute home run!

Yeah we know who butch is but do high school kids and recruits know? Guys like surtain and t Campbell and jeudy would just laugh and say “yeah sure” to all the old war stories. It’s too late for butch I feel.

Hopefully he would get it done on the recruiting trail, but these kids were just being born the last time he was coaching a top 5 team.

I would love to see the guy succeed but it’s just too late for him to appeal to hs kids. We need the recruits to believe in our program again legitimately

See, your analysis is a problem. He doesn’t excite you, okay, whatever. Exciting the fans? Just hire the best coach for the job. Excite recruits? Butch is the GOAT evaluator, and a great recruiter, and he ACTUALLY KNOWS ALL THE SO FLA KIDS RIGHT NOW. AS IN, RIGHT NOW. He may or may not be the best guy, but what he’d bring, not one other person in the world could bring close to as well.
