Welcome back TOXICITY… it has been a while

Shouldnt predicted 48-10 then. I thought line was egregious with Miami's injuries at CB, and knew it would be a tough game.

WF at home, well coached, and Miami injuries mount and mount.

If anyone thought this was going to be a 30-40 point win on road against that team frankly is living in fairyland.

If this team doesnt get healthy it’s a moot point anyway.
The line was -21 for a reason. We made it tougher than it needed to be. The game was 31-7 at one point in the 3rd. What was truly egregious was the play calling in the second half.

My logic- we won the game.

By double digits!

You know what last years team did, they lost games. Twice.

Away conference game under the lights vs a sold out crowd for their Super Bowl. With about 5-6 starters out by the second half?

Yea. Don’t sweat it. It’s a good win. Just keep grinding.

Man, we had more walking wounded last night than any Canes game I can remember. We are a beat-up team early in the season.

Double digit win on the road against a team that’s probably gonna win 9 or 10 games

But that 2nd half was brutal to watch it felt like it was about just holding on then actually finishing strong, the injuries you can’t control but you can’t look that pathetic on offense…
Wake isn't a 9 or 10 win regular season team (they have a tough ACC stretch with Louisville, SMU, UVA and at Cal). But, Wake is a solid team that did things on both sides of the ball to take advantage of our current issues

They forced our inexperienced OL to play cohesively during the play (can't communicate during the play) with delayed blitzes and loads of movement and games on the DL.

Their offense forced mismatches with their misdirection to get speed on our immobile LBs.

They also did some things in the passing game to take advantage of injuries.

Damari Brown should be in lockdown on an island, and will never make @Memnon 's Lockdown Island

They’ll beat Stanford. They won’t beat Louisville.

Wake is the best team we’ve played so far, but make no mistake, they’re not good. They are, at best, mediocre and that game should have been a blowout.

I dunno wtf happened, but that type of let up will cost is games if it happens again.
I think you are still underestimating Wake. They have a good coach and smart players. The QB is finally in a system that fits him.
Separate the name of the school from the team on the field.

The real problem with the "toxicity" that happens is the pre conceived notion that ACC teams are not good. This won't be the only ACC game that presents challenges.
