But joy comes in the morning.

The seasons of life are filled with pain and hardships. But they are also followed by joy, restoration and peace. The game of life is more than football and our Canes. As MC said last night, repeatedly in interviews, these young men are “human beings” and have a lot to be proud of. Turning around a historic program back to prominence when they could have taken the easy route and went to college elsewhere. That is the way of a Cane.

I have hope that MC will continue to do whats required to continue to build this program. Just wanted to offer some encouragement and hope to my fellow Cane brothas. I know this “L” will hurt a while for some, but do not let it ruin who you are and what you stand for. Find joy in what we were able to accomplish when no one, gave us a chance in this thing.

Lets continue to be resilient when others expect nothing. This is not just for Canes football, but also in our daily lives, with family, and the work place. Dominate in everything you do gentlemen. Love you Canes Family. We ride or die to the end baby.

I had a 3 hour drive after & had such peace in my soul. Had my wife & friends all snuggled in sleeping. Going home to my healthy kids. Just enjoyed watching a great game. Had some great interaction with a super friendly fanbase. Just all the good that sports brings. So what, we played sloppy. It happens. What a fun season. Thankful to have matured over the years & for the Lord to give me perspective headed home. Life is good. Football is fun again. We are all blessed!

Yessir brotha. I love it man. Nothing better then being able to look over your loved ones resting peacefully as you take in what God has and will continue to do for you. I still remember our days on ITU247 10-15 years ago lmao. I even forgot my name on there. But i enjoyed your fellowship on the site. Good to see you as a Reformed Mope, my brotha😂😂😂

Great post man

I don’t want to tell people how to react to this game. How they do it is their business no judgements

But it felt a little strange last night

I actually watched Indiana celebrate. Some weird bizarre way I was happy for them because they showed some serious balls. So did our guys.

I hate it for the kids that played their last games for us but this season was such an incredible ride. I’m thankful for it

Yes sir. Those were fun days. I had to give up moping. It's just a game & nobody needs that negativity ! Lol.

I bought wrong end zone club seats & ended up smack in the middle of Indiana fans. They could not have been more gracious. Check out the age of all these to my right. Cool to see 80+ year olds getting to see something they’ve dreamed about all their lives! Congrats to them. We had our chance. Is what it is.

You and me both. There is a video out there of Fletcher coming out of the locking room and waiting his turn to congratulate Mendoza. Man, i bout cried my eyes out lmao. That is maturity if i ever seen it in orange and green, especially the circumstances of losing the title game.

Makes me root for Fletcher even more. What a dawg.

My mom is a big Canes fan and we were texting before the game. I literally told her I just want Miami to win for Mark Fletcher. She was like “yep same”

Great post. I’m with you, I am just feeling grateful for such a wonderful season and the fact that our boys made it so far and fought until the very end. Of course, I wish we had won and I could list off the things I would have changed if I could, but I loved every minute of this season and enjoyed riding the ups and downs with all of you here on CIS.

Contrary to others here, I don’t believe this is it for us. Maybe we won’t necessarily be in the ‘ship again next year, but I feel confident that this program is in great shape and will only continue to be successful and make more CFP runs. Half-full, not half-empty, y’all.

Were they aware they were at a football game? Asking for a friend…

I agree my friend. We got the right man for the job MC. If he continues to improve every year as he has been…Its only a matter of when. Of course, he’s gonna have to deal with kids coming and going, coaches coming and going. But i think he knows what he’s looking for now.

I can’t agree more. We were on a mission since our loss to SMU. And, it grew with each win, and so did our players confidence and who they are and must do. But, every Mission becomes a Journey, that take on bigger meanings and importance then just winning. Don’t get me wrong, winning the Natty would have been glorious. But, every journey doesn’t full fill the mission,, a Win. What it can do is repair the broken. And for 20+ years this program has been a broken shell of it self, that no longer is the case. And by his own admission Carson was broken and discarded, physically and emotionally. IMHO, he has repaired this in his journey with this team. The Mission always ends, the journey always continues. And for Carson and the Canes whose paths crossed and now separate will have new Missions, but only bc they took that journey together. GoCanes🙌🏽 When’s spring practice?

Yeah brotha, i love the meaning of the word “Journey,” so much, that my youngest child is named Journey lmao. It is a reminder for my wife and I, how far we come together in this life time. I also like to say, “that it is not always about the Journey, but the company you keep along that Journey.” You hit the nail on the head, the journey is a piece of the company these gentleman have taken together this past year. And I cannot wait for this to continue. Lmao. Put me in Coach😂😂😂
