Not sure on the origins but linked below is the writeup they have on their methodology. Qualitatively it makes sense but without knowing how they truly weigh the inputs you can't take this ranking seriously.

Loses to Wake by a FG, LVille plummets out of the rankings and Wake doesn’t get ranked despite a 2 score loss to a top 4 team being their only blemish


Michigan beats Oklahoma that will end the season with 4 maybe 5 wins
Loses to a directional Michigan school
Goes into the half against UTEP winning 17-14
Loses at home to another mid ranked big team

Michigan still ranked

Make it make sense.

Oklahoma state beats Oregon, loses to Tulsa, beats undefeated WVU.

Oregon goes toe to toe with Boise state, beats USC.

Somehow Oklahoma state isn’t ranked

That Tulsa loss took a massive hit with how bad they got smacked by the worst team in the SEC, to be fair

Texas A&M starts the season in the top 10. They get destroyed by unranked Kentucky, but somehow remain in the top 25.

LSU exploded into the top 10 for demolishing an uranked and terrible Clemson team.

Ole Miss was a preseason top 10 team. They beat Louisville and an LSU team that's in the top 10 for beating unranked Clemson.

Ole Miss jumps into the top 5. LSU stays in the top 10.

UF is jumped into the top 25 for beating FAU, Campbell and Auburn by 5.

They beat #4 Ole Miss, who is unlikely to fall into the teens, and are now ranked inside the top 10.

LSU beats embarrasses Texas A&M and has a ranked win.

Louisville took its second loss and fell out of the top 25.

Mississippi St jumped into the top 25 for beating powerhouses UL Monroe, Minnesota and South Carolina.

Nobody can explain why Missouri was ranked.

Miss St beats Missouri and now has a top 25 win. Mississippi St is ranked in the mid teens, and MISSOURI IS SOMEHOW STILL RANKED.

To summarize.. the SEC teams listed above have 0 wins against the top 25 outside of the SEC.

It's absolutely nonsense. Missouri being ranked is just terribly transparent. They have wins over AR-Pine Bluff, Troy (by 10 points), and Kansas. Wake's resume is 100x better yet they're not ranked.
 
Missouri and Michigan being ranked is a disgrace, Wake should be ranked above those. Shoutout to Utah.

Objectively I would put OSU at 5 and IU at 6
