InsideTheU learned that Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin Top247 cornerback Jon Mitchell and Hialeah (Fla.) Westland Top247 cornerback Jamari Howard are expected to watch the Hurricanes get after it during their first session of the week.

Mitchell is fresh off of a trip to Notre Dame, and Howard, a Michigan State commit, recently checked out Tallahassee to see what Mike Norvell and Florida State had going on.

Howard is considered the No. 75 overall player and No. 8 cornerback in the country, according to 247Sports. He stands at 6-foot-2, 175-pounds.

Alex Mirabal and Ed Pata will take part in hosting a pair out of Salt Lake City (Utah) West in offensive linemen Semisi Tonga and Nuku MaFi.

Both interior linemen are 6-foot-4 with Tonga tipping the scales at 310-pounds while MaFi coming in at 285-pounds. Both are generating plenty of Power 5 interest at this stage of the process.

After a trio of five-stars visited last weekend, Miami will yet again host two of the nation’s best on Friday and Saturday. Outside of Bradenton IMG Academy five-star David Stone, who will be down with his family this weekend, the Hurricanes are also scheduled to host Mainland (Fla.) Top247 defensive lineman LJ McCray.

The 6-foot-6, 260-pounder is considered the No. 90 overall player and the No. 13 defensive lineman in the country, according to the 247Sports Rankings Council.
During the January evaluation period, Mario Cristobal landed a helicopter at his high school.

“It was definitely pretty cool. It was a neat experience,” McCray said earlier this month.

Last fall, McCray totaled 17.5 sacks while also playing on the offensive side of the ball, where he brought in a pair of touchdowns.

Cristobal doing the heavy lifting at planting those seeds early. Its very important in holding off the late charge by the SEC schools with their old school bag dropping. And make no mistakes thats what they do late in the process in addition to NIL. We definitely need Stone and more DL on the interior.
