I hope there was sarcasm somewhere in this thread, because a lot of the posts were really, really, dumb.
Dumb is the new status quo around here.

Not sure how I feel about Goden's camps. We get very few top SRs to camp, most are underclassmen who will eventually camp at other schools as Srs and commit to them.Maybe Golden should do just 1 camp, hype it like most schools do,get top talent to attend and try to get a few to commit.
just too add they know the kids have other obligations during the summer so allowing several days gives them the opportunity to add the camp to there schedule. Golden really is a nice coach. he may have to cut some of that **** out.Al Golden @GoldenAl · 1h

I see your point but I think he does it because it is affordable and attracts a lot of young kids as well. The camps also help build up fractured relationships left over from Coker/Shannon and it allows the staff get a look in person for many more kids then they would at one big camp.

lol my bad.so I guess Ohio State is wasting an offer too. there are 2015 kids who didn't get offers until now that we want. hes also the 4th rank guard in the nation for his class. you have to do research before you say things like that.Man, this staff straight WASTING offers. We give this one dude FOUR offers??? SMH at this staff.
I've dripped sweat on my keyboard looking over this kid's offer list, tape, and interviews. He's a fine prospect - fine! - but the kid is simply NOT worth the four offers from our illustrious university.
This staff is out of control!
especially when we have scholarship reductions already...i hope Al reconsiders and takes back atleast one of the offers.

I'd rather have a kid that knows what the coaches name is and knows that it's Orange and Green not GREEN N ORANGE.

It's pronounced Gordon
I was there today with my son who is going into sixth grade. I don't follow recruiting enough to know who the attendees were at the camp, but someone pointed out Horace Copeland's son. That kid looks the part. I saw a ton of big time athletes there and one of the coaches told me that there were UM caliber players there.
I will say this: that was the most organized sports camp I have been to with one of my kids. Kudos to Al Golden and staff for putting on a phenomenal camp. I don't know if it will yield dividends on the recruiting trail, but it was a great camp.

This staff has it backwards. Why are we giving out 4 offers to one out of state recruit, and the S Fla boys are lucky to get one.

Ibis, is your son at all upset about not being offered yet? I apologize on behalf of the program for the slow play.

LOL
We could have left as soon as the campers/players ran through the football helmet/tunnel and the smoke and he would have been happy. To that point the campers warmed up, they had timed the campers in the 40 yard dash, the position groups warmed up and the coaches gave the group a pep talk about what they were going to do and what was expected of the campers (including a fiery little pep talk from Art Kehoe). They then ran through the smoke while the "It's all about the U" song was blaring through the speakers. The campers then went to their position coaches in groups and got in some good work including one on ones. After lunch they did more positional work and then they took the younger kids to play 7 on 7 with Swasey as the QB, while the older kids continued to do one on ones and positional work. As they were rapping up the 7 on 7 for the younger kids they began the fastest man in the camp competition. Trust me when I tell you that there were some kids who could blaze out there including a kid from MNW (I don't know his name, but he was wearing his MNW track uniform).
I did overhear a conversation between two HS players including a 2016 DT from Broward who was frustrated that he hadn't yet received an offer. I don't know his name, but he may go to Dillard. I know he is a 2016 DT from Broward because the kid he was speaking with was standing next to me and I chatted him up a little bit.
