No sh*t.

The context of the discussion was why the Triple Option Flexbone is difficult to defend against.

Navy isn't going to win this game, but that's not the point. We're just talking about what makes their Offense an issue for Defenses.
When Notre Dame wins, it's nice for us, because after playing a triple option team, you're just so beat up.

They're DEs are not particularly good at knowing how to defend against a kick out block from puller. Gotta wrong arm that junk and let the boys spill over top, or just outright attack that guy right in their chest. They seem to be told to hunker down and hold your spot and keep contain (which is an old school teaching point).

I have never understood those ‘I want them at full strength!’ fans. wtf? This isn’t about honor. It’s football and a game of attrition. Not wishing anyone bad things. Looking for matchup advantages.
I will always wish nothing but bad things for anyone associated with ND.

I could understand that logic in the BCS when you needed to be Top2 but now with the playoffs, just win and you’re in.

Don’t you mean “cannibalizing” itself? Isn’t that what the cool conferences are saying these days
The ACC is anything but a cool conference.

The last time Syracuse beat an OOC opponent in the regular season from the p4 that finished with a winning record was September 2022.

The ACC is trash.
