week eight can seal your fate

Biggest weekday matchup is on Thursday. Other sports keep the game off ESPN; however, pretty crazy to see it won’t be on ESPN2 either. No one wants to watch ECU @ Memphis over undefeated JMU @ App State lmao. Goes to show even at the G6 there’s levels to this 💩 , and that’s why JMU is dipping outta the Sun Belt to join the American conference

Personally i want to see Oregon State in the playoffs so I’m hoping JMU loses a game before the end of the year

Two ACC matchups Friday however it’s basically impossible to draw a storyline from them. Lot of former ‘Canes (even our last HC!) will be on camera tho. Right now, nine ACC teams have 2 in-conference losses, and four have 1 in-conference loss. Duke, UVA, and NC State all have 2; Stanford has three. One more loss by the three teams in the former and they’re outta contention for the ACC-CCG.

Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Colorado, Kansas, Michigan State, Penn State, and Maryland are the P4 programs who have not won a conference game yet.

Real scary hours for a lotta programs around this time of year.

Undefeated teams: Miami, Utah, BYU, Texas Tech, UCLA, and JMU.

Defeated teams: ULM and NIU

The “spot” has tripped up a few teams this year. Particularly ones having a road game the week after a huge home victory. BYU and Tennessee are in that position this weekend. Auburn in a similar position, but they’re at home, but LSU will be tough for them.

Interested to see how Indiana responds after their first loss in almost 2 years. Also, is Underwood done at Michigan?

Boomer Schooner is already wobbly, but the wheels will totally come off if they lose to MSU this weekend.

On that note, OU, Texas, and Oregon, three pre-season title favorites, are a combined 11-7 on the year.

BYU having an emotional let down game is possible. Just not sure Central Florida is good enough to take advantage of it.

South Carolina does have a better shot.

I wanna say Michigan finds a way to keep it close against Indiana. Three straight battles on FOX noon kickoff with all the hype and pressure could be a factor.
It is just going to be a real challenge for the wolverines. Carr is still very raw and new. Indiana’s front seven is too good.

That Michigan Indiana game has a 17-13 vibe to it.

TrumpyCane's teams on upset alert

Indiana against Michigan (Bryce benched)
LSU against Auburn
Tenn against USce (USce coming off a bye)
A&M over Bama

Some other good games like Texas/Ole Miss and Utah/Houston

Man if Bama loses a 3rd straight game, Kalen DeBoer gonna have to go into witness protection.

The thing about DeBoer is if he loses any other game, he’ll have to enter witness protection. He has to win out. IMO we’re seeing the consequences of Jamarcus Shepherd’s contributions vanishing.

Don’t envision Alabama firing him, however, his old Washington athletic director, who previously hired him, is now at USC. USC would only have to pay 10 million buyout to get him. A few weeks ago it looked like that was a long-shot because DeBoer was undefeated. Now he has more losses than Riley :roll-canes2:
