MEGA Week 8 Games Thread

I forgot that holy rule of CFB but how does the CFP justify that every team curb stomped one another? They keep as many in the playoff picture as possible.

LSU worked Auburn who beat UGA who beat Bame but lost to Tennessee who lost to South Carolina who lost to Miss State who beat Missouri who beat Florida who beat Texas who is about to beat Ole Miss who beat LSU. All full circle so they should all make the playoffs.
The non sec teams that actually get in should feel so lucky and grateful to just be there in their presence. Because in reality, it should just be all SEC in the playoffs

and Wisky will be in a year from now when he's forced to take another gig and he's getting em rolling when Fickell falls back to Earth>>>>
Yeup; interesting to see if Jake ****ert cares for that job or has his sights on something bigger. He could be Michigan’s HC if he plays his cards right.

if im Eck, I’d go to NC State before Maryland. But I’m still being patient cuz FSU / USC could be available too

I read today that this is the first year that Maryland will receive full pay as a Big 10 member. That along with Big 10 membership would put the Maryland job over the NCSU job but NCSU is spoken of highly.

People talk about the SEC Circle of Suck, but the Big Ten isn't really any better.

Their supposed best team Ohio State lost their QB, and the backup Fahey looked scared ****less when he did play. Indiana would rather play a hobbled Hoover than their backup. No one trusts USC because they have no defense. Northwestern and UCLA are considered serious contenders to make it to Indianapolis, but no one thinks either of them seriously can win a National Championship.

He looks like he grew up in the Midwest so I could see where the Michigan job would be his pick

But man USC is a great job where he could horde all that talent in cali and Oregon also looking like they might be looking for a new coach in the next year or two… and did I mention they have some serious money for pay and talent acquisition

Not sure that’s accurate. The B1G pursued Maryland and Rutgers, not the other way around.

Oregon + Washington and SMU/Stanford/Cal had to take less because they had no leverage.

Both jobs have strong recruiting grounds however the fan support seems much higher at NCSU; i have a very cursory knowledge of the programs tho. NCSU has a legacy blue-chip qb commit who likely isn’t going to flip in Gunnar Rivers, that’s an advantage by itself. Maryland has talented players but retention will be hard & the schedule will be harder.

You have to create your own football lore imo at Maryland; they’ve had like one winning conference record season since joining the B1G

I'm not convinced Lincoln and Steve are different people.
