Who was he throwing to?
Jesus. What a waste of potential. Smith should have come down here with Kevin Beard and Malachi a year ago. He’d have two rings and working on his third.Smith has good hands, not great hands
except he's a ***** and can't run. Malik was a warrior just not a natural passerSayin = Malik Rosier
The more I watch the ACC the less I blame the media for viewing us as the step child of the P4Pitt's starting QB is out for the year, its a bye week game for us now. Dont waste your time watching that ****
Tier 8: Back to school, and maybe a new one: Julian Sayin
The Julian Sayin evaluation is easy for me. He should play five years of college football. Right now, I see an undersized quarterback without tools and without a defining trait. The arm is average to below average. The accuracy is good but overstated. The pocket presence has improved, and he’s shown he can stand in and deliver while taking a hit. He’s more willing to use his legs, but ball security is a major issue, and I expect the fumbles to continue.
Processing is the biggest issue. You can lack tools and still become an NFL backup or spot starter if you process at an elite level. His completion percentage and Ohio State’s team success would lead you to believe he’s an elite processor. We have to find some reason for the success, right? That couldn’t be further from the truth. Julian locks onto his frontside concept and rarely gets to the backside routes. Ohio State’s offense has a lot of backside digs and in-breaking routes that come open, and he hasn’t found them consistently. Like last year, his progression is the frontside concept, then the checkdown or his feet. The Maryland film was the worst processing game I’ve seen from him.
It needs to get better fast. Ohio State has one of the toughest remaining schedules, and if the processing doesn’t improve, they could lose multiple games in Columbus. It will get loud quickly. Ohio State is a quarterback who can consistently find the backside dig away from a national championship. Ball’s in your court, Julian.
Maybe he needs a seeker machineSmith has good hands, not great hands
Honey you need to turn on the OSU - Indiana game before making comments like that. This is a pillow fight. The more I watch the ACC the less I blame the media for viewing us as the step child of the P4
If this conference stays true to itself then Wake/SMU/Duke/Pitt & VT will all lose today because this conference is allergic to success
We might play these guys again. Dawson needs to be able to pick Indiana’s lock by the end of the First Half, not wait until the middle of the Third Dadgummit Quarter in a Natty!IU can play pass defense. They contest a lot of passes, get their hands on a lot of throws, and even when they allow a catch, they are there for a quick tackle. This looks like how the first half went for us. Our pass game saw no daylight until 2nd half.
