I don't recall much Richt hating when he was the OC for our rivals in north Florida.
I think it was due to him being a genuinely nice guy who never acted like a fool and,
to my knowledge, barely recruited south Florida and/or bad mouthed his alma-mater.
Also, during early 1990s, there wasn't hate on FSU as we were on top of the college
football world and we looked at their program as our adorable Little Brother.
That last point changed when we started having our NCAA problems and they turned
nasty on us, but even then there wasn't much anti-Richt vibes.
Whittingham is somewhat different. I believe he's had several relatives play at BYU, including
his dad who was a coach at the school.
The closest comparison I can conjure is when one of Matt Patchen's sons ended up at uf and was
pretty open as to why he chose the school in Gainesville over the Good Guys.
