Week 3 games

Heather Dinich is a terrorist. Has LSU 8th overall, Indiana 9th, and no Louisville in the top 12 lmao. Alabama 7th and Texas tech 12th

ND fans have been trolling Canes twitter mercilessly, pretending to be FSU fans from Free Shoes' Glory Days.

I happen to agree with you, but we'd lose today at South Bend, given what I saw Friday night.

Fortunately, it's a November game, so this staff has time to address these issues and get the team up to speed. Especially, as you've suggested, the IOL issues.

I will say that losing Marty didn't help, but getting Lyle back will help us address the run game. I can't for the life of me understand why Barkate hasn't been utilized more by Dawson, given what he's being paid and his relationship with Mensah.
Tell us your truth brother!

Week 3 Quick Notes:

  • I've watched all Purdue games this year. Their HB Ijeboi runs physically and with some shiftiness. Hits the hole hard if there, but not quite as hard as the counterpart in this game Wayne Knight
  • Wayne Knight did a tornadic spin move at like 19 mph that I think would have caused me to projectile vomit, kept his balance, and torched the D for a 50 yard gain. Dude hits the hole FAST, Hard, and is elusive.
  • Ryan Browne was touted by the Purdue homer announcers Game 1 vs Indiana State as having done a lot of offseason work, and it shows. He's in his 4th year of 5, can make every throw, but did have a costly mistake INT in the final 2 minutes, although credit to the CB for coming off his flat route and sliding back to pick the ball.
  • Purdue's offense is really good, they are way better than the last two years, and it frankly makes the Wake 1st half look that much more impressive.

  • NDSU looks like the cream of the G6 Crop, in terms of being well coached and taking care of their business. Yes, it was just Sac State. Before then it was just Jax State (Poysers fmr school), etc etc.
  • Makes you wonder if South Dakota State & South Dakota will be chomping at the bit to move up.
  • Or, if there needs to be some sort of consolidation between the G6 and the FCS. Because the gap in talent has narrowed dramatically.

  • Freshman QB for Vandy, Curtis, has an arm that can make NFL throws, but he also channeled his inner Brett Favre by trying to force a corner route into double coverage, basically losing Vandy the game.
  • Enter CJ Bailey. Wow. How do you ******* fumble in the endzone like that?

  • Thank god it isn't a 1 week season right? Ok St lost to Tulsa week 1, and then beat Oregon & took care of business against Murray State. We'll see where things shake out at the end of the season, but they seem much improved.
  • Conversely, Virginia looks very human after RichRod took care of them. They led for much of the game. Looking more & more like Louisville will be the ACC championship matchup if Miami takes care of their business.

  • I believe the line was slightly favoring Wyoming for much of the week in this game. This is Miami's next opponent. They were destroyed by a pretty good New Mexico team that lost 6-14 in Norman this week, and barely beat Colgate 13-10.
  • I hope the 2nd half is largely 2nd stringers, and I hope that we have someone step up and show out at guard because holy **** that situation is in dire need of remedial work.

Overarchingly, many of the "cream of the crop" teams were pretty pedestrian this week, including Texas, Notre Dame, Alabama. TAMU lost to Kentucky, lolz. Didn't see the game but ELKO ERA is here. Maybe that super fabulous tackle prospect will rethink going to that school. Not holding my breath but the OL is worrying right now.
