Week 2 games

After this weekend, my top 10 would be…

1. Texas
2. Miami
3. ND
4. Ole Miss
5. LSU
6. Bama
7. A&M
8. UGA
9. IU
10. Taint

That’s certainly not how it will look, but with such a limited sample size, who you’ve actually beaten so far has to factor in. Teams like Indiana and Georgia haven’t played one team with a pulse yet. You could combine the roster of all the teams they’ve played so far and you still wouldn’t get a decent squad.

We haven’t played a team with a pulse, either. They are going to keep Ohio State in top
5 somehow. I understand this is your 10. My top 5 would be UGA, Miami, ND, IU, and TX.

seems to me Ole Miss defense is porous once again - Taint with a one point loss on the road wont be penalized

Yes Stanford ain’t great, but look at who Georgia and Indiana have played.

Week Two thoughts:

  • Jesus Christ Clemson. I didn't watch but someone said the new QB can throw a forward pass, surely an upgrade from Vizzina.
  • New Mexico might have a chance to knock off Oklahoma. They seem well coached, blow out teams they should, and torched CMU 38-7 last week.
  • VATech handled ODU. I dunno if ODU is as good as last year this year, but prior to Miami, ODU was sort of the "model" for having some success against Indiana last year. They weren't a pushover.
  • CMU sucks.
  • NDSU is now 3-0 in the FBS in their first season. They were up 35-13 in this game, I didn't see the 4th quarter but its cool to see them pave a pathway to a successful FBS year one (to date). Montana State and the other Dakota schools taking notes.
  • Montana State dominated Nevada. Nevada won their first game 49-14 over WKU, which makes this seem bizarre. But Nevada unexpectedly announced an injury to their QB1, QB2 couldn't throw a forward pass, and QB3 is QB3.
  • Obviously Ohio St & Oregon are the story and to a parallel degree Mestemaker & Texas, but just wanted to throw these results into the thread.
  • Mateer is an athlete playing quarterback (who is also surprisingly easy to bring down). Same with Arch. I recommend watching the Ohio St Texas game in Skycast view. Arch can't anticipate gaps in the D for ****. He's like me playing CFB27 on Heisman.

Out of curiosity, who is top 5 then?

Ole Miss has a win over a ranked opponent. LSU had to put in work to beat Georgia Southern.

Might be a nice portal addition tbh. We need two cocaine bears on the DL this go around again.

Tank Jones + Elijah Kinsler would have that unit regrouped
