It’s insanely difficult to have a tempo-based offense paired with a high-level defense. Very rare.

I wouldn't ask Allar to do much either; he can't make many throws.

I have great respect for Lashlee, but his offenses were generally unable to convert short yardage situations in the run game. Maybe that would be different with Cristobal/Mirabal running the OL, but I think there is a philosophical mismatch. I was happy to have Lashlee and I'm happy to have Dawson.

People just want to make excuses for this dude. His receivers aren’t the reason he misses throws by 5 yards anytime he plays a defense that can speed him up a little bit.

SMU was honestly driving on them consistently in that playoff game. If Jennings didn’t forget how to play QB and gift them some turnovers in the red zone it was gonna be a close game
