I think the Big12 getting 2 bids is a longshot regardless of what the rankings are now. Bigger risk to us is SEC team we have a better resume getting in ahead of us or USC beating Oregon or Michigan beating OSU and getting the Big10 a 4th team in ahead of us.

Michigan beating OSU is worrisome. USC beating Oregon is less troubling IMO because we have already beat Notre Dame.

As much as I distrust the committee, I don’t think they will put 6 $€ teams in the playoffs; or, ND + Alabama, maybe a 10-2 USC & possibly 10-2 Texas/Ole Miss who all have a mutual opponent with us that we beat.

OU and USC already beat Michigan; with OU ahead of us and UMich/USC below us. What happens with the B1G CCG and the tiebreakers to play IU would make the picture clearer.

But Michigan beating OSU with USC losing to Oregon is a really bad scenario for us.
