Since we're now in the era of re-alignment and tv ratings seems to be a large part of the whole shuffling game I figured it would be interesting to see how we landed given that we played a big opponent:

https://footballscoop.com/news/college-football-tv-ratings-roaring-start-2021

1. Georgia 10, Clemson 3 -- 8.863 million
2. Notre Dame 41, Florida State 38 -- 7.751 million
3. Ohio State 45, Minnesota 31 -- 6.295 million
4. Alabama 44, Miami 13 -- 5.674 million
5. Penn State 16, Wisconsin 10 -- 5.409 million

I would have liked to have seen better but its not terrible Now for comparison here are Alabama's ratings last year:

https://www.statista.com/statistics/748033/college-football-tv-ratings/

January 1, 2021 ND vs. ALA (ESPN Mega)9.618.89
January 11, 2021 ALA vs. OSU (ESPN Mega)-18.65
October 17, 2020 UGA vs. ALA (CBS)5.39.61
December 19, 2020 ALA vs. UF (CBS)4.98.92
November 28, 2020 AUB vs. ALA (CBS)3.66.66
October 10, 2020 ALA vs. MISS (ESPN)2.654.89
October 3, 2020 T A&M vs. ALA (CBS)2.754.76
October 24, 2020 ALA vs. TEN (CBS)2.54.36
December 5, 2020 ALA vs. LSU (CBS)2.34.22
December 12, 2020 ALA vs. ARK (ESPN)-2.59
September 26, 2020 ALA vs. MIZ (ESPN)1.152.09
October 31, 2020 MISS ST vs. ALA (ESPN)1.12

Overall I wish we would have had better numbers but I think they're competitive since we're basically talking just a notch below iron bowl numbers. What do you guys think?

It’s great for a game with a 19 point line that was largely uncompetitive.

First game against a huge draw, it's alright at best. In particular when it's over the air on a channel everyone gets.
